REVIEW: Swedish Dream Soap

Let me just put it out there… I’m particular about soap. Yes, I’m particular about a lot of things, but especially about soap. There is however a reasoning to my madness. You see, I have eczema, and anyone who’s ever had eczema before will understand.

There is no journey too far, and no price too high for some form of relief; for anything that will subside the constant need to scratch, for anything that will not further irritate the skin, for anything that will soothe the eczema. The struggle is real. I know, I’ve been there.

Well friends, after years of searching… I have finally found my solution. The perfect soap. Okay, I know it sounds crazy. It’s just soap, but I’m telling you, this soap have transformed my skin.

It cleans, exfoliates, moisturizes and soothes my skin all at the same time and did I mention that it produces a great lather? It is made from all natural ingredients and has helped me tame my eczema. It’s absolutely incredible and I purchase it by the dozen. Honest.

There’s actually two types of Swedish Dream Soaps that I use:

Sea Salt

First of all, it smells amazing. Seriously, all soap should smell like this! It has a clean, fresh sea water scent that I’m absolutely obsessed with. I recently found out they sell a candle with this scent and its on my list of must-have items I need to purchase.

The soap itself has sea salt particles which work as an exfoliator, leaving the skin soft and smooth. The only issue I have about this soap is that it’s not a moisturizing as I would like, but by no means is this soap drying.

Seaweed

This soap is definitely my favorite out of the two, but both are equally spectacular in their own right. The seaweed soap also has a clean, crisp scent however it does not smell as good as the sea salt soap does.

The soap itself has seaweed particles with active marine algae, which moisturizes the skin without leaving a residue or film and leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed.

I’m not saying these soaps are the answer for everyone with eczema, but I can say these are some of the best soaps I’ve ever tried. I’ve even converted strictly body wash users to bar soap users with these soaps. It’s definitely worth a try.

  1. Where can you purchase the soap. My skin is so sensitive. I have tried hundreds of soaps, cleanser, lotions and I’m allergic to all. I have the double whammy, psoriasis and eczema. I stopped using soap. Lately I’ve been using a cscrub with charcoal. It’s been helping some. Beleive I know your pain.

    • Hey Paula! You can purchase the soap at Anthropologie, but is also available for purchase on Amazon. I suggest purchasing the seaweed soap because of the double whammy, its definitely the more soothing out of the two. Good luck and I hope this soap helps!

    • I haven’t tried it on my face, but if you’re looking for an exfoliating face wash I suggest from The Body Shop. I used it 1-2 times a week.
