Monthly Obsessions: 0814 Edition

amo10

When I say obsessions, I mean obsessions. The thing is… when I like something, I like the crap out of it. Until I don’t, because I’ve overdone it. It’s a problem.

So, basically.. here are a few of my ‘problems’ this month.

Krave Artisanal Chardonnay Thyme Turkey Jerky
AMO4.5
Made in USA | Sonoma, CA

– No Artificial Ingredients
– Gluten Free
– Minimally Processed
– Hand Sliced
– No Nitrites, MSG or Corn Syrup
– No Added Antibiotics
– No Hormones
– No Animal By-Products

This month’s snack of choice. This is currently my 4th bag. I told you, I have a problem.

It’s not your typically jerky, not just because its turkey, but because it has the perfect balance of sweet and savory goodness wrapped in each turkey morsel. Its super portable, so you’re prepared when hunger suddenly strikes and thanks to this tasty snack, hangry outbreaks have decreased by 50% this month. For this I’m sure my husband is thankful.

SUJA Lemon Love

Made in USA | San Diego, CA

– Certified Organic
– Non-GMO Verified
– Vegan
– Koser
– Dairy Free
– Soy Free
– Gluten Free
– BPA Free Packaging

Being that its summer, lemonade has become my drink of choice. Unfortunately, traditional lemonades are typically packed with sugar and artificial flavorings. Then, I found Lemon Love and I was instantly hooked.

I like to think of it as a healthy lemonade alternative with a kick! Which is awesome, cause I like it spicy. Cold-pressed and never heated, Lemon Love provides you with all the nutrients and none of the sugar crash. Pour it over ice with some fresh-cut strawberries and you’ll have a perfect summer libation.

… and if you add a splash of gin, it’ll be even better.

No. 55 Lord Bergamot by Steven Smith Teamaker
amo7
Blended & Packaged in USA | Portland, OR

– Handcrafted in small batches
– Gluten Free
– Dairy Free
– Yeast Free
– Wheat Free
– Vegan

There’s nothing like a good tea and toast in the morning, and more likely than not, my tea of choice is some type of Earl Grey and quite frankly Lord Bergamont is the best I’ve found thus far. I mean, come on… its called Lord Bergamot for goodness sake! I like to call it my Voldemort Tea, cause you know… Ber-ga-mot, Vol-de-mort. Right? Get it? Same syllables. Plus, I like to make Harry Potter references whenever I can.

But back to the tea. It’s a full-bodied black tea with a deep bergamot aroma, and with a splash of almond milk, it’s the best part of my day. Another added bonus about Smith Teamaker is that on the bottom of each box is a batch number, which you can lookup on their website, and tells you who blended your tea, when it was packed, and who packed it.

I know what your thinking, and you’re right. Its pretty much the best tea ever.
Btw, my batch # is 91765

Bite Beauty Vivid Luminous Crème Lipstick Duo
amo5
Made in Canada

– Certified Gluten Free
– No Parabens
– No Sulfates
– No Phthalates
– No Petrochemicals
– All Natural Ingredients

The formula of this lip duo is incredible. I naturally have very dry lips and most lipsticks only accentuate that, however, Bite Beauty’s formula is so moisturizing that my lips actually feel smoother and more nourished after I use it.

The bright colors in this duo, Palomino (Magenta) & Violet (Purple), are super pigmented and long-lasting. On top of that, its matte! And I love me a matte lipstick. Also, you get a choice of two vibrant colors in one sleek, compact package that can conveniently travel with you. I mean, hello? Totally justified. You need this in your life.

butter LONDON, Muggins
amo6
Made in USA | Seattle, WA

– No Formaldehyde
– No DBP
– No Toluene
– No Parabens
– Cruelty Free
– Gluten Free
– Vegan

My love for butter LONDON runs deep. I compulsively purchase their nail polishes. So much so, that I only own butter LONDON nail polishes. I also like to line them up into a color spectrum and display them on my counter, but that’s beside the point.

Muggins has been my favorite nail polish this month. It’s a light gray lilac color with blue undertones. I actually have a chambray shirt that perfectly matches this nail polish and I have, on more than one occasion, worn both simultaneously.. unknowingly. It was awkward. For both my shirt and nail polish. Kinda like showing up to prom in the same dress as someone else.

Basically… I don’t like to match. I like to wear a color story. Just saying.

Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum
amo3
Made in New Zealand

– Certified Organic
– Cruelty Free
– Paraben Free
– Gluten Free
– Vegan

Lemme just start by saying, hyper-pigmentation is the bane of my existence. It’s an ongoing battle that I just cannot seem to quite conquer. I am well aware that my dark spots will not disappear overnight and I’ve been patient. I’ve tried several products to help correct it and this serum by far has given me the best results.

It smells like strawberries and has a gel-like texture that absorbs into the skin beautifully. Its does not leave a sticky residue nor does it feel heavy on the skin. Since I started using it, my skin has become softer, looks brighter and my hyper-pigmentation has faded quite a bit.

It definitely has quickly become an integral part of my skincare regiment. I highly suggest you try it if you’ve ever struggled with discoloration or if you’ve ever wanted your face to smell like strawberries. Both are valid reasons in my book.
