Elixirs & Libations: Vanilla Coffee Toddy

VICT2

Although its fall, I’m still quite partial to cold coffee and this concoction came straight out of sheer happenstance.

This vanilla coffee toddy is quick, storable and perhaps a bit boozy, if you so choose.

It can be made in advance, is non-perishable and taste of as though the vanilla clouds have parted and bestowed upon you the quintessential coffee of the unicorns. That’s if unicorns drank coffee.

But, I digress… Now, onward to the vanilla coffee toddy.

You’ll Need This..

Serves 2 (or 1 highly caffeinated individual)

16 fl oz cold brew coffee
1 tsp vanilla paste
vanilla almond milk

optional
2 fl oz whisky (but, only if you’re of age & feeling cheeky)

Now, Do This..
Place the cold brew coffee into a reusable container with a lid for optimal caffeination on-the-go or a shaker if you so choose.

Now, simply add the vanilla paste and top it off with your desired amount of vanilla almond milk. This is also where you would add the whisky, if applicable.

Then, place the cap securely on your beverage container or shaker and give ‘er a good old shake-a-roo.

… and TA DA!
Hello, Vanilla Coffee Toddy.

Immediately serve over ice or store in the refrigerator for up to three days. Just make sure to give it another good shake before drinking if you choose to store it.

  1. Love this idea. I’m a hot coffee drinker and I’m partial to vanilla flavored ones. With all the sweltering temperatures we’ve had in Southern California lately, I just might have to go for this one. (Have you tried it with others alcoholic beverages – Kahlua, brandy, etc.?)
