Brand Admiration: David’s Tea

BADT1

A few months back, they opened a David’s Tea nearby and I decided to give it the ol’ look around– and I was not disappointed.

Firstly, the modern sleek design of their brick and mortar store was extremely inviting. So much so that from the moment I spotted it from a block away, I was overwhelmingly giddy and practically skipping to the front door. Secondly, their tea is pretty darn amazing. Just saying.

David’s Tea specializes in loose leaf teas and accessories. Typically, I’m too lazy to deal with loose leaf teas, but I made an exception for David.

They offer over 150+ types of tea and have the largest collection of organic teas and infusions in North America. Also, all their teas are gluten-free and their organic teas are certified by Ecocert Canada.

Now, here are several of the teas I’m quite keen on at the moment…

Organic Cream of Earl Grey
Black Tea
Caffeine Level: Medium
(contains 35-90 mg of caffeine per cup, less than your typical cup of joe.)

– Certified Organic
– Kosher

Not your typical Earl Grey. This tea has a rich creamy flavor, as its name suggests, with a whisper of vanilla. It’s very reminiscent of a London Fog. I typically add a slash of vanilla almond milk to my tea for optimum tea drinking satisfaction.

The Earl’s Garden
Black Tea
Caffeine Level: Medium
(contains 35-90 mg of caffeine per cup, less than your typical cup of joe.)

If you couldn’t already tell, I’m a fan of Earl Grey tea. This blend differs from the original blend with the addition of strawberries and black currant. He’s basically just like he’s buddy The Earl of Grey, just with fruit.

Salted Caramel
Black Tea
Caffeine Level: Medium
(contains 35-90 mg of caffeine per cup, less than your typical cup of joe.)

Rich black tea sprinkled with pieces of English toffee, coconut and caramel and a smidgen of French sea salt that melt into your tea turning it into a delectable delight.

Buddha’s Blend
White Tea
Caffeine Level: Medium
(contains 35-90 mg of caffeine per cup, less than your typical cup of joe.)

I bet you thought I was going to feature another black tea didn’t you. I’m sorry to disappoint, but there’s no fun in being predictable. Now, back to the tea…

Firstly, the smell of this tea alone is beyond words. I feel like they should make a candle this scent, cause I would buy it. Like 5 of them. Also, this tea has whole white hibiscus blossoms, so obviously that makes me extremely happy.

24 Days of Tea
Clearly, I saved the best for last!

I’m kind of obsessed with advent calendars this year and every year for that matter, but that’s beside the point. When I found out David’s tea sold an advent calendar my mind was blown away.

All I could think about was opening each parcel on its designated day and brewing the surprise tea inside. Except, on the back of the calendar it tells you which teas are included. But, you don’t know exactly which tea is delegated for each day. So, it’s still a surprise. Sort of.

Sadly, they have sold out of this particular calendar online, but the 12 Teas of Christmas or 8 Days of Tea are still available.
