Those Post Halloween Blues

OMF14

Are you having a bit of withdrawal from all the ghoulishly spooktacular Halloween festivities? Are you crashing from your post-halloween sugar high? Well, I have a little treat that will liven up any sulking spirits or grumpy goblins.

In lieu of my October Monthly Obsessions, I bring you Halloween Recovery Bark! Which will not only be tasty and combine all your favorite sweets and treats, but will also help you finish off the last of that halloween candy– if there is any; probably unlikely, but possible.

Because you have to wean off sugar slowly. Very slowly. Baby steps. Crawling even.

You’ll Need This…
OMF1.5
White Chocolate
Milk Chocolate
Assorted Candies, Sweets, Treats & Goodies
(I personally used: candy corn, M&Ms, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, pretzels & candy eyes. Just to mix it up a little and because sometimes your candy needs some googly eyes.)

Baking Tray
Silicone Mat or Parchment Paper or Wax Paper
Off-Set Spatula (for easy spreading)
Toothpick

Now, Do This…
OMF2
Start by melting you chocolate in two separate bowls, either in a double boiler or in the microwave.

If you choose the microwave option, nuke it in 15 second intervals and make sure to stir throughly in between. Try not to over heat your chocolate, sometimes it just needs some extra stirring.

Next, spread the milk chocolate evenly onto a lined baking tray.

Place blobs of white chocolate sporadically on top of the milk chocolate. Then, take the toothpick and make squiggly lines from top to bottom then across until you’ve achieved your desired marbled affect.

Toss your assorted candies, sweets and treats on top, making sure to press them into the chocolate so that they stick. Lastly, let it set in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes or until solid.

… and Voila!
Break it up and serve. Enjoy!
